Toku’s mission is to help companies engage with their customers efficiently. We have helped companies move all the voice communications to the cloud and recently embarked on creating products that help companies to keep engaging with their customers no matter where their employees are working from.

Toku is currently getting into a scale-up mode. We want to continue creating momentum for our products in the APAC region and helping customers with their communications needs. As we further scale our operations, we are looking for an experienced Head of Infrastructure, to run a reliable and efficient production environment. Want to be part of our journey?

We would you be doing?

The Head of Infrastructure will report directly to the CTO of Toku and will work closely with the Head of Operations and VP of Product, along with the rest of the management team and business operations.  

The individual should possess a successful track record of leading a global or regional team in scaling Data Centers, as well as Public and Private cloud infrastructures. This role will be responsible for defining and driving the strategies to build and evolve Toku’s infrastructure technology, and developing the team to support our infrastructure for strategic growth. Additionally, the individual should be data driven, utilizing key metrics to measure internal and external operational level agreements to provide quality and reliable infrastructure services, including compute, storage, and network. 

  • Build and lead strong Infrastructure team which run business critical services IT services. 
  • Manage Toku’s critical Data Centers and network to demanding SLA’s for high availability and DR, scalability, reliability and operability. 
  • Create a seamless bridge between Product Management, Software, Security, Operations, and IT teams. 
  • Build and enhance relationships with critical infrastructure and network partners. 
  • Define the infrastructure and technology operations strategy to support the business needs for scalability, growing demand for capacity and associated Quality of service (e.g., performance, reliability, and disaster recovery measures).
  • Providing strategic thought leadership and guiding critical initiatives and transformation activities across the Infrastructure, Engineering and Operations organization; promoting the organization’s strategic vision and execution. 
  • Experience of leading overall infrastructure for a growing organization, including multi location setup, VLAN setup for regulatory requirement, managing data protection, etc 
  • Working knowledge of network communications technology, high availability and disaster recovery architecture, communication and related technologies. 
  • Ensure the availability of critical IT-based business systems together with appropriate and tested backup and disaster recovery plans 
  • Work closely with Security and Compliance teams on Audit and Compliance. 
  • Periodic review of server hardening and server patch management. 
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and implement improvement plans. 
  • Manage and prepare departmental and project budgets. 
  • Prioritizing the daily work within the area of responsibility, according to management/business commitments and urgent needs within the teams. 
  • Working with the security teams, implement appropriate tools to support the information security management policy. 

Job requirements

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a technology-related field
  • Possess 10+ years of relevant work experience, hands-on in the recent 3+ years on Linux and AWS a must
  • Professional information security certification like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Proven experience in information security and compliance related disciplines.
  • Solid knowledge of various information security frameworks including DNS, routing, authentication, VPN, proxy servers, DDOS mitigation technologies, threat modelling, firewall, and intrusion detection/prevention protocols.
  • Coordinate the continuous development, implementation and updating of security and privacy policies, standards, guidelines, baselines, processes, and procedures in compliance with Singapore regulations and standards.
  • Identify acceptable levels of residual risk and assist with action plans, policy, and procedural changes for risk mitigation.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and oral business communication skills, ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measure.
  • Knowledge and experience with networking concepts, protocols, and services.
  • Knowledge and experience in setup, maintenance, and security of Windows and Linux operating systems.
