Who we are looking for:

Toku is currently in scale-up mode. We want to continue creating momentum for our products in the APAC region and help more businesses improve their customer experience. We are now looking for a Senior Communications and Social Media Manager to help us increase our brand awareness and position Toku as a thought leader.

Some things you will be doing:

Working closely with the rest of the marketing team and leadership and reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing the business's narrative and helping maintain a positive external and internal view of the business. You’ll also build and maintain relationships with relevant industry writers and contacts to take advantage of any opportunities for business exposure.

What you will be doing:

Strategic Communications

  • Develop and drive strategic internal and external communications plans
  • Drive corporate strategy and message development, pitch and announcement strategies
  • Work across the organization to create a consistent and compelling narrative for key areas of the business, then proactively pitch it to media and relevant industry influencers
  • Know how to craft interesting and unique story angles that reach target audiences
  • Leverage unique content assets to their fullest by working collaboratively across the marketing team and the company

Media Relations

  • Manage media relations and work very closely with the PR agency to plan and execute public relations plans
  • Draft press releases (product, partners, company milestones)
  • Manage all incoming media inquiries
  • Train our best and brightest, from more junior analysts to leadership, on how to talk to the media including interview prep, talking points and more

Social Media & External Communications

  • Own relevant speaker and award opportunities, manage calendars and submissions
  • Work closely with our Social Media Associate to help drive awareness about our culture, products and company vision on social media

Job requirements

What you bring to the table:

  • 4+ years of experience working in corporate communications in B2B tech companies. Knowledge of the cloud communications industry is a plus.
  • Experience creating strategic communication plans. You know how to drive successful outcomes and connect them to our overall company objectives and marketing strategy
  • Excellent understanding of social media channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Strong network of contacts, specifically at tech and business media outlets in Singapore with proven track record of media placement (APAC media connections is a plus)
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, and a proven track record in integrated communications
  • An understanding of how to leverage content strategies to drive awareness
  • You have experience building and executing successful social media strategies
  • Experience managing teams with different levels of expertise
  • Problem-solving skills – you tackle unforeseen challenges as a results-driven project manager who can handle multiple projects simultaneously & autonomously
