As we continue creating momentum for our products in the APAC region and helping customers with their communications needs, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the high quality and reliability of our cutting-edge contact center and unified communication platforms, and contribute to the seamless delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
This is a newly created and impactful position during a growth phase for the business. You will be instrumental in shaping new processes, bringing new ideas and selecting tools in a collaborative and highly visible team environment. Job requirements
Expected Collaborations
- Work closely with the QA Manager to align on testing strategies, priorities, and goals for the team.
- Partner with Test Automation Engineers to communicate requirements, design test plans, and ensure the integration of automated tests into the development pipeline.
- Engage with Product Managers to understand product requirements and provide feedback on testability and potential quality issues.
- Work support teams to understand, investigate and resolve customer-reported issues.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Delivery
- Lead the quality assurance efforts for our software products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities.
- Execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Conduct regression, integration, and performance testing after bugs are resolved.
Strategy Alignment
- Ability to analyze complex software systems and understand how different components interact.
- Collaborate with customer support teams to investigate and resolve customer-reported issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure delivery of high-quality product.
- Continuous Improvement: Advocate for and implement best practices in QA processes and methodologies. Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing the overall QA strategy.
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Talent
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the growth and development of the QA team.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers, offering support and training to enhance their skills and performance.

Technical Excellence
- Contribution to the adoption of new testing tools and strategies, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Test Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans based on product requirements and specifications, including functional, performance, and regression testing.
- Test Coverage: The percentage of the codebase covered by automated tests.
- Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing as per Requirements, including exploratory and user acceptance testing
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira). Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Ensure accurate documentation of test results and defect reports.
- Escaping Defects: Maintain the history of the defects that escaped to production and identify the ways to avoid it.
- Execution of Scripts: Execute the automated tests which are developed using Frameworks such as Selenium, SIP protocol test tool
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Any relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
- At least 5 years of work experience in software quality assurance or software testing
- Knowledge in industry leading test automation tools such as Selenium, Junit, Test NG, Cucumber tool or SIP and VOIP is a plus .
- In-depth knowledge of various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Continuous learning mindset, staying up to date with the latest QA trends and technologies.
- Experience in CcaaS, CPaaS, Telco or Voice related domains is an added bonus for this role.
